The licenses tab is accessed from the profile menu when you click your avatar and email address at the top right of the Scoutbees screen. The licenses page displays the current license packages that have been assigned to the current account.
Two main sections include:
- Current usage bar: Shows the credits that have already been used out of the assigned credits to your account, and tells you how many you have left to use.
Note: Credits are counted as used only for active Scouts. If you delete or disable a Scout, those credits are released back to the available pool of credits.
- Your packages: Shows all the credit packages for this account, including number of credits per package with the package start and end dates.
In that screen, you can also click Purchase More Credits.
Calculate How Many Credits Each Scout Consumes
Scoutbees now supports multiple types of Scouts (EUC/Network) and enables greater flexibility in determining how to calculate your license credits for test creation. You can use the assigned credits towards either of the two Scout types, regardless of the other parameters (such as the location of the Hive, interval, or any advanced parameters of the Scout).
|EUC||1000||Cloud or Custom Hive, 5min minimum interval|
|Network||200||Cloud or Custom Hive, 1min minimum interval|
Let's take a look at SimCity Corp as an example of how license credits are consumed. The company purchased 10,000 credits for a year and created the following:
- 4 EUC Scouts from a Cloud Hive
- 4 EUC Scouts from different Custom Hives
- 2 Traceroute Scouts
- 3 HTTP/S Scouts
- 1 Ping Scout.
In total, SimCity Corp consumes 9,200 credits based on the following calculation.
|Scout Type||Scout Sub-Type||Initiated Hive||Number of Scouts||Consumed Credits|
|EUC||Citrix Netscaler Gateway||Cloud||4||1000x4=4000|
|EUC||VMware Horizon Connection Server||Custom (On-prem)||4||1000x4=4000|
